As we move toward the first national election for the African Diaspora, it is crucial that we maintain clarity and unity throughout this historic process. Therefore, we respectfully call on all individuals, groups, or entities using the term “African Diaspora” in their name for governmental purposes to immediately cease and desist from doing so.
This request is made in the best interest of the people we serve, as confusion during such a monumental election must be avoided at all costs. Our objective is to ensure that every member of the African Diaspora understands the importance of this election without ambiguity or misdirection.
We also take this opportunity to put on record that there are entities using the name “African Diaspora” without any affiliation to our efforts. While we refrain from singling out specific parties at this time, we firmly state that should this request go unheeded, more direct actions will be taken to protect the integrity of our mission and minimize any confusion.
This election is a defining moment in the political and economic future of the African Diaspora, and we are committed to ensuring it proceeds with the utmost transparency and unity. We urge all parties to act in good faith, aligning their efforts for the collective benefit of the African Diaspora.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together toward a brighter future for our people.
Sincerely,
African Diaspora Voters Education Board, LCA
